Stacey Surratt is the Director of Roots and Wings Music Therapy.  She also currently serves as President of the Music Therapy Association of North Carolina, Secretary of DrumsForCures::Drumstrong, as well as works in partnership with Queens University of Charlotte to accommodate university-affiliated interns and clinical practicum students from the music therapy department.  Stacey completed her Master’s degree in Music Therapy at Radford University.   Her focus areas included children and adolescents with developmental and/or behavioral diagnoses, mental health, and substance abuse treatment.  In addition to music therapy board certification, she is also a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCAS-A) in the state of NC as well as a Certified MARI Practitioner through MARI Creative Resources, allowing additional levels of services to be open to Roots and Wings clients. 

Stacey wholeheartedly believes in the power of music to transcend physical and psychological boundaries and facilitate healing.  She has experienced it herself, and looks forward to a lifetime of joining in this process with others.
